[RadCast] I Forgot… (Psalm 103:1-5)

We tend to remember our sins, even though God has forgiven us AND forgotten (on purpose)… yet, we tend to forget the faithfulness of God and His benefits. Before the day goes one step further, take the time to remember what God has already done and is doing in you now.

[RadCast] Be the First… at Being Last (Mark 9:35)

As one of many Influenza victims this weekend, I’ve been the recipient of servanthood by my wife who made sure I had enough medicine and M&M’s to keep me on the road to recovery. It’s all about serving one another. But where would we be without Jesus, the greatest servant of all? Now go and do likewise — ask the Spirit to open your eyes to help someone else today & watch what happens next.

[RadCast] Yes, Fear God (Luke 12:4-7)

Most of what we fear is a waste of our energy, at least in my own experience. BUT there is one thing that I’m concerned about that I want to get right: my relationship with Jesus. I see His love for me and His call to a holy life, and I want that — not because I’m afraid of hell, but because I love Him back.
Have a fearless weekend & see you Monday!

[RadCast] Be Annoyingly Calm (Matthew 8:23-27)

Of course Jesus calms the storms in our lives, no doubt. Even better, He gives us the faith to trust Him so much that we can be strangely at peace during a time of fear and crisis.
Can you be annoyingly calm? The world is terrified — yet we have Jesus. Seems like we should see things a bit differently.

[RadCast] Re-Learning Fear (Matthew 8:23-27)

[RadCast] Yes, Jesus Leads Us Into Fear (Matthew 8)

You’d think a Good Shepherd would help us avoid the scary stuff. Nah. He goes one better: in a world where both beautiful and terrible things happen, He says “I’m with you — so you have no reason to fear.”
That kind of confidence only comes when we face fear head on, believing God.

[RadCast] Childlike, Fearless Faith (1 John 4:18)

I admit that I’m sometimes motivated by fear. It’s how the enemy works. In fact, I don’t really need any help in being afraid. How do we combat this? With a child-like, Garden of Eden type faith and relationship that finds the very concept of fear absurd.
That’s how we know we’re growing.
There’s a battle for your motivation. Love God, love others. This is the great killer of fear.

[RadCast] Protective vs. Destructive Fear (Deuteronomy 31:12-13)

Fear wasn’t in the original design — it’s an unfortunate necessity of a broken world. Now we have to teach our children to fear traffic, fear a hot stove, and fear God. Is all fear bad? No — some fear keeps us alive. The father of lies twists creation, turning protective fears into destructive fears.
Can you spot the difference?
More tomorrow – keep the conversation going!

[RadCast] The Origin of Human Fear is the Father of Lies (Genesis 9)

Satan can’t create — he can only distort creation. This distortion leads to believing the lie, which separates us and causes great fear. Fear is a powerful motivator.
The question we need to ask: am I listening to the right voice? Am I experiencing fear because I’ve believed a lie? Or because I’ve bought into a twisted truth and am on the wrong path?

More tomorrow. Keep commenting, liking, and sharing. We’re headed someplace.
