[RadCast] He Made It All (Psalm 119:89-91)

I went on a walk this morning and was reminded of the power of God — He made it all, He upholds it all… nothing is too difficult for Him.
Remember this as you begin the week. Let the one who holds the universe by the word of his power be the one holding you.

[RadCast] You’re Not a Burden (Luke 15)

Consider the parable of the lost sheep — reminding us of mission, the heart, and the celebration of salvation. You’re not forgotten, not too far off, not in a bad enough situation for God to leave you there. Nor will he be mad when He finally finds you. Celebrate the grace and love of Jesus — and live it out today.

[RadCast] You Can’t Be His Disciple (unless…) (Luke 14:11)

All the stuff that makes me who I am in relation to others is important but not primary. I am, primarily, a disciple of Jesus. From that core flows the capacity to be who I am (as Christ would) to others.
Saying “I’ll follow Jesus” without counting the cost (your life) leads to unfinished projects. There’s hope, though — He keeps building as we keep giving UP.

[RadCast] Pneumatic Regulation (Luke 12:10)

We have as much of the Holy Spirit as we want. To blaspheme the Spirit is to adamantly resist His call to repentance, to limit the air (Pneuma) flowing through our souls. It is possible, sadly, to be so resolute in saying NO that our own salvation is on the line. Jesus says this as He’s reminding us to be bold and courageous in our faith, which will be challenged by a world going in the opposite direction.

[RadCast] Loss/Gain/Loss/Gain (2 Cor 1:3-4)

It doesn’t quite feel like yesterday anymore, but it still seems closer than 22 years ago. God respects our freedom and the evil consequences it can bring, but He’s compassionate enough to comfort us and (eventually) make all things new in Christ. Until then, our loss means a gain of God’s comfort, which can be passed on to others who experience loss. It’s a good thing to remember, especially today.

[RadCast] Creating Praise (Isaiah 57)

God “creates praise on their lips” through His mercy. There is no peace with God unless we’re cleansed by God — and what more reason do we need to praise?
Thanks for watching, commenting, and sharing! See you Monday!

[RadCast] Weird Healing Story (Luke 7)

I don’t have a simple answer for this one, friends. I’m really puzzled. Watch and join the conversation. In the end, it works out for the guy, which is good. But I have questions.

[RadCast] Regular People Doing Irregular Things (Mark 6)

Jesus is divine (God) and human (a carpenter — He’s in the trades). Jesus is the son of God, but he’s also the son of Mary and brother to his siblings… a local kid who swings a hammer, suddenly teaching stuff He has no business knowing. This same Christ is in us, making it possible for you and me, regular people, to do irregular (healing, holy, good) things.

[RadCast] Why Isn’t God Saying Yes? (Psalm 25:16-21)

Welcome back to RadCast & here’s a rabbit hole for us. When God doesn’t say YES to our prayer, that can lead to a kind of suffering. But the Father has His reasons… and NO might be the most loving answer He can give.
