Continuing Worship Education

I’m happy to report that after seven years of on-and-off study, I have finally received my Certificate of Worship Studies from the Institute for Worship Studies. It was a foundational set of courses for me as it helped me to comprehend the biblical metanarrative. Or, to put it another way, it helped me understand what’s supposed to happen in church. I reccomend it to anyone who leads worship and/or wants to develop their theology, ecclesiology and worship history. My plan is to attend IWS for their Doctor of Worship Studies program in 2008. I’m looking forward to it!

If you sense the desire to keep learning but don’t want to commit to a course of study for whatever reason, at least check out Covenant Seminary‘s collection of lectures on MP3 that cover topics from New Testament to Christian Ethics.

About radamdavidson

When I'm not blogging, I'm hanging out with my family, pastoring a church, or listening to vinyl. I think and write about Jesus, music, communication, organizational leadership, family whatnot, and cultural artifacts from the 1980's -- mostly vintage boomboxes. You can read my blog at www.radamdavidson.com, watch [RadCast], a daily 3 minute video devotional, or find me on socials (@radamdavidson). I also help Pastors in their preaching and public speaking (www.CoachMyPreaching.com).
