[RadCast] Why Drawing Close Can Make it Worse (Psalm 25:16-18)

I felt God pulling me toward speaking to the brokenhearted this morning. I wasn’t sure how it tied in with the new year until it hit me: sometimes we draw closer and feel worse, and therefore discouraged. Why? Because we have a revelation about ourselves as the Spirit opens our eyes. Going to the doctor and getting a diagnosis doesn’t make it worse, though we may not like the news. However, the realization and diagnosis must come before the cure.
How is God healing you? And how does He show is faithfulness in your distress?

When I'm not blogging, I'm hanging out with my family, pastoring a church, or listening to vinyl. I think and write about Jesus, music, communication, organizational leadership, family whatnot, and cultural artifacts from the 1980's -- mostly vintage boomboxes. I also help Pastors in their preaching and public speaking (www.CoachMyPreaching.com).
