Thursdays

When we’re in the church office we talk about important church things like where to set up the baptistry, a 1,000+ gallon tank soon to be filled with sanctified city water.  We discuss how many branches will be needed for each Palm Sunday service as Donna painstakingly separates them into the correct size and organizes them neatly.  The phone rings, it could be anything: a request for prayer, a request for financial assistance, a request for us to consider getting a subscription to Pray Like You Mean It! magazine.  The fax machine churns out another coupon for toner, a shrewd business plan to sell more of what they use up in each unwanted printing.  Well played.  I like Thursdays.

About radamdavidson

When I'm not blogging, I'm hanging out with my family, pastoring a church, or listening to vinyl. I think and write about Jesus, music, communication, organizational leadership, family whatnot, and cultural artifacts from the 1980's -- mostly vintage boomboxes. You can read my blog at www.radamdavidson.com, watch [RadCast], a daily 3 minute video devotional, or find me on socials (@radamdavidson). I also help Pastors in their preaching and public speaking (www.CoachMyPreaching.com).
