Lectionary Reading — Out Loud

For the sake of my own study and meditation, I (usually) record myself reading the lectionary for the coming week and then post the audio on SoundCloud.  This makes it easy for me to listen throughout the day from several different devices — iPhone, computer, etc.

It’s not that I enjoy my own voice, it’s just that I like the text bouncing around in my head, and this voice is the one I hear anyway.  Maybe this practice harkens back to my days in radio.  They say that once you get into radio, radio gets into you and never leaves.  Sounds viral, eh?

If you think in multimedia and have interest in consuming the Word form a different angle, here’s some guy reading the ol’ NIV84 for Sunday, January 19, 2014.   Thanks.

When I'm not blogging, I'm hanging out with my family, pastoring a church, or listening to vinyl. I think and write about Jesus, music, communication, organizational leadership, family whatnot, and cultural artifacts from the 1980's -- mostly vintage boomboxes.
