Malaquote

Not much to add except for some various quotes said by our now 5 year old son, Malachi:

  • “What do you think you are, some kind of idiot or something? I’m not saying that you’re an idiot, Daddy, because that would be mean. I’m just asking if you think you are an idiot.”
  • “ALRIGHT! FINE! I’LL STOP YELLING! (Emily or I: “you’re still yelling”) NO I’M NOT!”
  • “Daddy, let’s play superhero. I’ll be Batman. Who will you be, Daddy? No, wait. I know. You’ll be Robin.” (Me: Isn’t Robin just Batman’s intern?) “If that’s what Robin is, then yes, you’re an interm.”
  • “Daddy is the biggest, Zac (age 2) is the smallest, so that makes me the meatiest.”
  • Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.
    -Jesus, Luke 18:16
(Okay, but I don’t know what he’s going to say).

I enjoy Malachi VERY much. I wait to see what he will comment next in Children’s Church. This last week we were talking about gifts we can give to God that kids can even send with no money and we don’t have to go to the post office–it’s PRAISE! When we talked about praising God with our voice/mouth I mentioned that Malachi’s Daddy helps us Praise God and send gifts of singing and praise to God. Then I said saying thank you to God is a gift to him as well. Malachi raised his hand and said, “Well, I have pink eyes and I have drops and if I do good with the drops I get a treat. So I thank God for the drops.” Love him.

Can I borrow him for the day sometime? Insert video montage with fun music playing as the Raines family runs with Malachi in slow motion through a park, a zoo, maybe amusement park and ends with a picnic and tickle fight.

Thanks for sharing his quotes–great kid! Also got lots of hugs from Lexi on Sunday- she was feeling the love and we played instruments so it was a good day for the Davidson/Raines clan!
