Happy Birthday from a Hospital

Today marks my daughter Lexi’s 6th birthday, to which I say “happy birthday” as well as sing “Happy Birthday (dear Alexis)”. I planned on blogging about her today but we find ourselves in a situation that most would classify as a “Family Emergency” because a tumor is a pretty big deal. I’m sitting in a hospital waiting room outside of the Intensive Care Unit as I write this, so we’re still in the process of getting through the whole deal. Thankfully, it would appear that things have turned out quite well, considering how badly it could have turned out. We’re not out of the woods yet, but I will say that none of us anticipated these surprisingly good results.

But more on that later.

Right now, happy birthday, Lexi.

More on that later, too.
