I’ve Just Had an Apostrophe

There’s nothing like realizing for the first time what other people have known for years, namely, that there is great value in the liturgical calendar, especially when it comes to spiritual formation. Today in our Worship services we celebrated Epiphany because this is the closest Sunday to January 6th. We worshiped Jesus and celebrated the fact that His Salvation is available to all, bringing Him our gifts of Worship, just as the Magi brought Gold, Incense and Myrrh. Okay, Frankincense. When I was a kid, I thought Frankenstein was somehow involved. It turns out no. Not at all.

We’re still celebrating Christmas, gang. For the next 2 days at least. Then, we’re making our way to Lent.
Mmm… calendars.

About radamdavidson

When I'm not blogging, I'm hanging out with my family, pastoring a church, or listening to vinyl. I think and write about Jesus, music, communication, organizational leadership, family whatnot, and cultural artifacts from the 1980's -- mostly vintage boomboxes. You can read my blog at www.radamdavidson.com, watch [RadCast], a daily 3 minute video devotional, or find me on socials (@radamdavidson). I also help Pastors in their preaching and public speaking (www.CoachMyPreaching.com).
