7 Days @ UofM

I’m loading up on books since I’ll be spending the next week at UofM Mott Children’s Hospital. Malachi is having surgery to repair something called Craniosynostosis, a premature closure of the cranial sutures (“soft spots” in your head). While the folks at UofM are confident about the repair (when they talk about it, they make it sound easy, like building a deck), it’s still a big surgery. Recovery time is 7 days = time to read. Emily and I will be there pretty much the whole time.

I’m also told that they have beds, but only “75% of a full size bed” which is bad since I’m 140% of a parent.

I’ll keep the updates fresh as I find free wifi. Thanks for praying for us!
