Found an interesting thesis on marketing called “Pyro Marketing”, which is credited (at least in part) for the success of the Purpose Driven Life and The Passion of the Christ, although Rick Warren doesn’t want anyone but God to be credited for the popularity of PDL.
I’m posting this link on the RadBlog so that we who serve in the church are at least aware of how marketing is directed toward us. Some may even argue that I am doing exactly what PyroMarketing wants me to do — tell you (and you and you and you) about its existence. But I promise I’m not getting paid! I just found the analysis of social trends in the 21st interesting.
